How to Find Shareholder Yield Data

Good morning all of you fine folks!

I’ve been getting a lot of questions from YouTube about how to find shareholder yield. It’s not easy to find, but that’s OK. All of the “easy-to-find” data like P/E ratio is worthless since so many people use it. We want data that is still relatively unknown by the masses.

Anyways, calculating shareholder yield is easy. Simply take the current indicated dividend yield (ideally including the announced dividend over the next quarter) and add it to “buyback yield” which you can find in one of two ways:

  1. Simply Google “TICKER SYMBOL buyback yield” and it will come up.

  2. Go to the GuruFocus buyback yield summary page (link here) and type in your stock there in the top right where it says “Switch to Ticker.”

I hope that’s helpful!
